In 1846, Ulysse Nardin started his watch company after completing an apprenticeship with two of the most famous Swiss Master Watchmakers, Frederic William Dubois and Louis Jean Richard-dit-Bressel. The watch company has been most famously known for its manufacturing of incredibly accurate marine chronometers which at one point during the 1800’s was used by more than 50 of the world’s Navies. Ulysee Nardin is still operated and manufactured in the same building in Le Locle, Switzerland since 1865. Today, Ulysse Nardin is internationally known for its high-end Luxury Wristwatches, Writing Instruments, and Accessories.
The most famous collection of watches was released in 1985 and is called “The Trilogy of Time”. The watch collection pays homage to the greatest astronomical advancements in history, while tapping into our love for the stars, moon, and the sun. Ulysse Nardin’s watches have been deemed the most functional watches (21 functions) in the world, according to The Guinness Book of World Records.
Their most famous three watches always in popular demand are the Planetarium Copernicus, Astrolabium Galileo Galilei, and Tellurium Johannes Kepler.
